Caroline and Craig's July Wedding

Welcome to a world of unconventional elegance and vibrant creativity. On a sunny Saturday, 1st July 2023, we hosted the wedding of Caroline and Craig. Caroline and Craig's wedding was a celebration unlike any other, filled with personal touches that embodied their personalities. Instead of traditional floral arrangements, their favourite books adorned the chairs, setting the stage for a literary love story. Quotes from beloved books and films adorned the tables and the venue itself bore traces of David Bowie and The Cure memorabilia, a nod to Craig's musical idols. Origami, inspired by Caroline's years in Japan, added a personal touch and in lieu of a traditional cake, they offered their guests a taste of Italy with a gelato tricycle.

Walking down the aisle on the terrace to the tune of David Bowie's "Kooks," with sunglasses on and surrounded by loved ones, was a moment that encapsulated the essence of their love story. The lyrics invited guests to "take a chance on a couple of kooks hung up on romancing" and they embraced the spirit wholeheartedly.

We asked Caroline and Craig why they chose the Sun Pavilion?

Curious to uncover the story behind their choice of The Sun Pavilion as their wedding venue, we asked Caroline and Craig to share their thoughts. "We knew that we had found the perfect venue for our wedding the moment we saw photos of the Sun Pavilion. From the beautiful art deco glass dome to the stunning terrace overlooking Valley Gardens; this hidden gem of a venue has it all!

We certainly made the right decision. Planning the wedding with Megan was like talking to an old friend; her relaxed yet exuberant style was perfect for us. Our wedding day ran so smoothly thanks to the professional, calm and helpful approach of Megan, Stuart and the whole team. The food was superb and the vegan and gluten free options went down a storm."

Any advice for couples planning their own wedding?

Drawing from their own wedding planning journey, Caroline and Craig said "Don't underestimate the value of spreadsheets and lists! Seek advice from people you trust. Let your day represent who you are, even if that is quite different from the "norm"."

Caroline and Craig's wedding was a masterpiece of creativity, personalisation, and elegance. Their love story defied tradition and embraced the beauty of being unique. It was an honor to host this special day, and we extend our warmest wishes to Caroline and Craig. May their journey ahead be filled with the same magic, inspiration and love that illuminated every moment of their wedding.
